          Selected Initiatives

1983-2010: Robin Hood Foundation became Robin Hood Sickle Cell Anemia/Thalassemia

          • Formed in 1983

          • Funded last wishes for families, sending them to Disney World or buying them camcorders to make a last film for their unborn child to see

          • We were the most active in Chicago where we helped people whose homes were burned or

in some cases where a loved one died

          • For the family of Bob, a pizza delivery man who was shot and killed, we delivered a pizza. In the paper utensil bag was (if I remember right) $3,000 cash.

          • Robin Hood became the Robin Hood Sickle Cell Anemia and Thalassemia Foundation. The last activity was when I auctioned off my Rolls Royce sometime around 2005.
